As of this month, we here at Major are proud to announce that ALL of our vegan products now feature the NEW Vegetarian Society Approved vegan trademark, a guarantee that they have undergone stringent checks to ensure their vegan credentials.
“The number of vegan consumers across the country is continuing to rise and we’ve seen a huge appetite for animal-free products across all grocery sectors, from food to beauty,” comments Vanessa Brown, Head of Business and Catering Services at the Vegetarian Society. “We have experienced increasing demand for a vegan trademark from our customers to ensure they stand out from the crowd and can proudly display their vegan credentials and are delighted that Major International is now licensed to carry the trademark.”
In order for our products to gain accreditation, experts from the Vegetarian Society have independently checked them to ensure that they are free from:
- Animal derived ingredients
- Cross-contamination during production
- GMOs &
- Animal testing either directly or via commission
“It is important to us that our customers can easily identify which of our products are suitable for the vegan market, as it has grown considerably over the last few years,” says David Bryant, Managing Director of Major International. “Having already partnered with the Vegetarian Society to ensure our vegetarian products meet their strict criteria, it made sense to take this next step with them to give our customers full assurance that our vegan products have undergone the same checks.”
