method
1. Peel, core, quarter and slice the apples.
2. Put them into a heavy based pan with the water and sugar. Cook covered over a low heat stirring from time to time until the apples are just beginning to soften.
3. Set aside to cool then stir in Major Raspberry Fruit Base.
4. Put the apple mixture in the bottom of a dish, patting down to provide a firm base.
6. In a separate bowl cream together the butter and sugar.
7. Beat in the egg and then lightly fold in the flour. Add a little milk if the mixture is too stiff.
8. Pour the mixture on top of the apples and bake in a pre-heated oven 180°C for 50 minutes or until cooked.
